Hi Jim. Really nice shot of a very happy little chappy. I like the slightly dishevelled cloths - makes him look a bit carefree, which baby's should be.

Hello Walter. Now this is unusual and how do you come up with an idea like this? Now if the background were in focus and you hadn't given the clue in title, I'd still be looking and wondering what it is about it that makes it unusual. Tones could be a little less flat I think.

Hi John. What I like is the soft tranquil mood of this, being fortunate to be able to go trout fishing in idylic setting like this in the Rockies, I appreciate the shot a lot. I can almost hear the sound of the line being cast and plonking noise of the weight into the water.

I've looked at this a few times and it is still just a shot of a piece of trash in a tree. However, the blue and yellow work well together. A squirrel in the shot would have helped a lot.

Hi Paula and welcome to photoSIG. Well I do like this one not only for the good depth of field, colours and sense of movement, both with the upper level clouds and the foreground grasses. But what I really like is it looks like it could of been taken right at the same place I hail from in Wales. Thanks for a good first post!

Hi and welcome to photoSIG. The composition id quite pleasing, but the contrast and exposure are a bit off. The sharpness of the whole image could be quite a bit sharper too.

Nice shot Robert. Good colours, excellent timing being there with that gray storm cloud sky and sunny foreground combination. The sea looks very inviting and clear - almost Caribbean, just don't try swimming in it without a dry suit!

Hi Geert. Nice composition with lots of angles. I like the sneek view of the balconies. I guess it was a cloudy day which has maade the shot a little flat.

Hello Louri. Simple composition that I like. Good depth of field and exposure. More of the plant in the foreground may have been good. Also, what is the object left bottom by the plant? Should it be in the shot?

Thnaks Daniel. I like the study of the heron itself and feather detail. The frame overpowers the whole image for me though.

Hi Aviva, always like the B&W submissions. This one has an attractive perspective but I think a wider tonal range would be better to balance out those whites and deep blacks. The white slook slightly over exposed?

Hi Christian. Nice abstract and good idea. Maybe drop the flower down more to the bottom of the frame as I like the leaves above and do not like them below too much.

Hi Fernando and welcome to the site. This could be very good if the composition were in line with the rule of thirds composition guidelines. I think I would have moved to right a had the grass clump bottom left third of the frame and then started working the clouds and bringing them out. This would be a good candidate for an HDR image and processing. Thanks.

Hi Robin. I like the idea of this and am about to embark on scanning some objects. The black background works well, but I think the leaf looks a bit flat - could be my monitor. Even so it is a 'keeper'.

Hello Fran. I think the two things I would experiment with are cropping the bottom some as I think there is too much there that is not happening. The sky could be more dramatic - but I like dramatic skies.
