Each metal has its own unique properties for instance this platinum ring is really shiny, it sucks in all the surrounding colours to the point that even the colour temperature of the lights needs to be overcorrected. Low DOF was chosen to preserve the detail in the hallmarks and keeping some dynamic feel about the rings.

Hi Zac, I think your composition is simple and good. The reflections on the rings work well. The only thing that's missing is more dof and there could be a little bit more contrast to bring out the rings. Maybe also sharpen the engraving. Regards Martin.
