nicely caught but I feel the whites could be less blue and a bit lighter. The sharpness and theme here is perfect in my opinion. All in all a nicely seen image.

Thanks Joe! Yes, I cut the contrast and did some highlight/shadow which I shouldn't and that makes the white shifted color a bit.

Joe, now that I am home on a different monitor, this thing definitely has a blue cast on it. :-(

I love the situation, it is unusual and interesting. I think you could lift the image quite a bit, you have lots of leeway on the right side of the histogram, it feels dark and heavy, it can be a style, but here I am not sure. ;o)-max-

Thanks Max! It's a bit dull for sure since I cut the contrast down a bit. Seems a bit flat like Eugene had mentioned. :-) - Good to hear from you, btw!

Tim, very nice capture! Focus is great as shown first by the wings on the insect, the eye of the bird and even the tiny water drops by the birds eye. Exposure is good bring out all the colors in this shot. Great capture of the moment. Thanks for sharing

Well timed shot! falling droplets gives good mood . I like the composition. You have manage to focus the golden point on shallow DOF . well done - Saranga

Hello Friend Tm: A moment captured very good action. Notable details of the drops falling to the floor. Good work. Best regards. Mario

Great capture Tm. The crisp water drops from under the bill are really a nice plus. The capture is just a little flat but it certainly doesn't ruin what you've been able to capture. I wonder if that little bit of the birds back is necessary or if it would present even better if you cropped so that just the neck comes out of the right side of the frame.

This shot becomes nicely environmental as well since we can see the reeds around the bird. Regards and well done.

Thanks Eugene! I wonder about the bit of the back also and decided to leave it in. Wish for a cleaner shot but he hangs out at the reeds, walked slowly over, stretched the neck really long and caught one of the mating dragonfly couple. First time that I ever got the whole series of shot like that. :-)
