Hi Joyia.

Very nice POV. The colours are amazing. The play of lights is creating the depth in your frame. I wish there were more light on the left, would be great if one of candles was also lit there. The grain on the hand is distracting, it doesn't look very well. And one personal thought. the angle of tha hand is strange. I feel something is not right about it, composition is ending in a strange place, I feel the hand is extremily long. Also the fact that a hand is "opened" to the top part makes the composition "uncomfortable" for me. Good one.

Regards, Bartek

Thanks dear Bartek for your kind words and nice observation .. you are right about the hand..it was not posed or planed shot .. I shot when the lamps were being lit.. they are placed on rose patels.. I could miss the chance if I waited so long , a quick composition and a click was only I could do .... so glad you like it ;) thanks for stoping by .. best of regards.. JOYIA

good composition with great control of the light, good details too. A good idea to have included the arm/person, you titled it "hope" I wish to know is that some kind of ritual?

Thanks dear Jacline for your kind words and appriciation .. yes it is sort of ritual , a tradition .. to light clay oil lamps .. some time with rose patels ..some time with colors on the floor and there are many ways to do that .. that is always for the wishes to come true.. hope some one would return .. hope it would be alright soon .. or .. remembering the parted ones and showing your love for them .. so glad you like it :) thanks for stoping by ..best of regards.. So many feelings, a simple photograph lights ideas and tells a story
I like all the flames, pointing all over soft breeze not strong enough to put out but a concern, maybe a little darker and no white frame pointing our eyes out of the foto

What a lovely, solemn shot, dear Joyia! Beautiful colours and good composition. I'm not sure about the white frame but other than that, this is a work of art.
All the best / Eric

Very original Joyia. I like the layout of the leaves and how the deyas encircle them. IMO, the extended flames from the deyas on the bottom right (probably due to a light breeze and beyond your control) make that part of the photo just slightly more blown than the rest, drawing attention away from the rest of the image. However, the meaning and symbolism of the occasion is still well captured by the photo. 1.5 TU!

It is nice to see some different subject from you dear Joyia, good atmosphere and I like the message of lighting up the wishes, good lights that not see any dark corners, good photo.

Cheers......Edwin

Nice light and atmosphere, liked the fact that u shot the candles before it all lit but i find it annoying that the hand is placed in one of the corners

Hi Joyia a good capture of the lighting of the oil lanterns (symbolic of some religious festival, perhaps?) with good clarity, detail and nicely composed. I might have waited for all the lamps to be lit to give an even better balance to the scene. Good work - regards Colin

Lovely photograph. I enjoy the human element of the hand lighting the candle.
