The neglected photos initiative appears to be working well. On a recent visit, OK just 10 minutes ago, virtually every posting had received at least one critique. Well done PhotoSig.

On the other hand, most of the submissions are from years ago, is there really any benefit in resurecting submissions neglected since 2003? The person is still here???? Will they notice after six years, will they have "MOVED ON" from where they were then, intellectually, emotionally, technically??????
IS THE NEGLECTED PAGE JUST NONSENSE???

We can just ignore the 2003 photos (all of them also have 1 critique) and critique only the photos with zero critiques/rating. Those are certainly recent. The neglected page now works, but you need to notice what you are critiquing. The new photos will be appearing at the top of the neglected page. Maybe a rephrasing about how the NP works from the Administrators could help here, since no change in programming is expected.
And No, the NP is not nonsense. I have noticed many users deleting their photos after falling let's say after page 10 or more realistically page 100 without a critique. The NP is a second chance and it now is practically a guarantee that each and every photo will get at least one critique. Personally I would like to know how others see my photo, even receiving a TD rating, instead of posting a picture and seeing it be ignored. In such cases, the NP can work miracles.

Ditto.
It is now somewhat interesting to see the Negelcted photos page. Seeing only photos from 6 years ago is the ideal now as it means that every photo over 72 hours old (that hasn't been locked) has a critique.

Thanks, I do think it is a good idea, I was confused by the execution. At first I did not notice the 2003 submissions, obviously they were percolating up from the bottom as the more recent work was critiqued and thus shifted out of the neglected pool. I just did not know why and even less understand why 2003 photos should be there. Your explanation has cleared that up for me.
I agree that a critique is better than no critique. Any thumbs rating is OK save for the 3TD.
